Std. V To be kept at home and to be carried to school according to the daily timetable. Formal, according to the schedule printed in the diary Three or four topics at a time. Indicates only grades.

  There are regular assessments of the children throughout the year, a record of which are sent to the
   parents / guardians from time to time.
  The date and time of the assessment will not be made known to any students of L.Kg. to Std. II.
  In the Senior Primary level (Stds. III-V), dates are given for Unit tests.
  Children are not allowed to go home after an assessment. Children who are absent for assessments will not be    penalised, but will only be marked absent.


Pre-primary and junior primary - (L.kg. to std. II)

Skills which are expected from children at each age level have been identified. These skills are regularly assessed every term, in an informal manner and the students’ ability is indicated to parents through a system of stars in different colours: -

Senior Primary – (stds. III to V)

  There are three Unit tests in one academic year, for each subject.
  If a student has missed a test for any reason whatsoever, he/she will not be retested.
  Students are assessed on their written presentation in each notebook and are given book marks on a total of    10 for each subject, as follows. This are added to the marks they get for their assessments.
  • •  Neatness     - 4
  • •  Completion - 3
  • •  Corrections - 3
  Marks are allotted for project work which is done in the school. An average of all marks (including book marks)    is given in the Report Card.


Upper Primary – (stds. VI to VIII)

   Stds. VI to VIII has a 20 marks Unit test in each subject every term. There are also two Terminal Examinations and one Final Examination, the dates for which are printed in the Examination Schedule. Marks are allotted for Project work (Assignments).
   All tests and examinations must be answered by every student.
   During terminal and final examinations, on days which have only one examination, students are allowed to go home after the examination is over.
   A student must pass in SUPW & Physical education to get a pass report.
   The passing mark for each subject is 40 %. To qualify for successful completion of one academic level, a passing grade in the average marks obtained by the student in English, Hindi and Mathematics and at least 90 % attendance is absolutely necessary.
   To encourage students to excel in academics, merit certificates are awarded for students achieving above 80% in any subject.


High School- (stds. IX and X)

  • Depending upon the students’ performance and their preference, the students of Std. IX have the option of taking the Computer Science, Eco-Science or Commerce Streams.
  • Computer Science – English, Hindi, History, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Computer Applications (to qualify, a student needs at least 70% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Computer Science).
  • Eco-Science –English, Hindi, History, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Economic Applications
  • Commerce – English, Hindi, History, Geography, Mathematics, Commerce and Economic Applications.
  • In the first and second term, there is a Unit Test of 20 marks and an 80 mark paper for each subject. . In addition, in each term special tests are taken for each subject, the marks for which are averaged and added to the marks obtained out of 80 in the Terminal Examinations.
  • In the final term, the total of all the projects done in each subject is shown as Internal Assessment and the final examination paper is of 80 marks. (inclusive of special test marks).
  • The passing mark for each subject is 40%.
  • The students of Std. X answer a Pre-ICSE examination in the month of January, the marks of which will reflect in the third term in the Report Card.
  • If a student misses a Unit Test for any reason whatsoever, he/ she will get no marks. If a student is absent for the Terminal or Final Examination, the teacher may give him/her an ‘Absent’, only on submission of a medical certificate. Such a student may be considered for a rank. Otherwise, a student will only get a rank if he/she scores above 40 % in each subject, including Games and SUPW.
  • Students who do not reach the academic standard are not promoted to Std. X.
  • Students who do not display expected standards of behavior are issued a Transfer Certificate and are asked to leave the school.

Higher Secondary School– (stds. XI and XII)

  • In order to study at the Plus Two level, a student will have to be readmitted into the school.
  • Admission into the Plus Two level is dependent upon :
    • • Performance in the pre-ICSE examinations
    • • Record of behavior of the student

  • The students of Std. XII will answer a Pre-ISC examination in the month of January, the marks of which will reflect in the third term in the Report Card.
