Parents / Ethics Code For Parents

Parents should be living examples of the values taught to and expected of their children. They are expected to ensure that their ward attends school, follows regulations and receives their support to achieve success. They must also have a supportive attitude to the teachers in their efforts to provide education.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR FROM PARENTS

1.Parents are not permitted to enter the classrooms during school hours and are not allowed to meet teachers without prior appointment. Parents are also not permitted to enter the classroom to collect their children during dismissal.
2.Parents must not try to contact the Principal, Vice Principal or teachers over the phone or at home until it is a very urgent issue. Parents can meet the Principal, Vice Principal and teachers during the visiting hours at school with prior appointment.
3.If parents regularly miss parent-teacher meetings or ignore messages from the teachers, their wards may not be allowed to attend the classes.
4.Parents are also expected to set a good example to their wards by being punctual for every programme.
5.Parents must ensure that their children are well-nourished and hygienic when they come to school and are requested to send their wards in perfect uniform always.
6.Parents are requested not to send their ward to school if he / she is unwell. A physically unwell child will not be allowed inside the classroom.
7.Our school is a polythene-free zone. All parents are requested not to send or bring any articles like tiffin, stationery, craft articles etc. to school in polythene bags.
8.Nothing will be allowed to be handed over to students during school hours.
9.The school will not be responsible for loss of money. Parents must therefore ensure that their ward does not carry large amounts of money to school. (Rs. 20 to Rs. 40 is more than adequate to purchase snacks in school)
10.Parents are expected to check the diary daily and sign wherever required
11.As urgent and important messages are sent by sms , parents are expected to update their phone numbers in the diary slip, and inform the School office in case no messages are received.
12.Parents are expected to paste RECENT passport size photograph of their wards in full school uniform on the first two pages of the diary, and to mention the correct phone number to be use in case of emergency.
13.Students suffering from any infectious disease must complete the quarantine period before rejoining school. This should be indicated on the medical certificate duly signed by a competent doctor. (Kindly refer to Attendance/Absence Rules)
14.Students and parents are expected to promote positive behavior through the avoidance of any type of violent acts.
15.Parents should not argue with the teachers/ other students or the conductor / driver present in the conveyance. If there is any problem, a written complaint to the Principal or Administrative office should be given.
16.Parents are expected not to give gifts to the teachers or staff in the school, for any reason, in order to promote a culture of objectivity and fairness.
17.While the school will take all necessary precautions for the safety of the students, yet, if an accident or mishap occurs, parents should not hold the school responsible or liable.
18.It is to be noted that no teacher of Tarapore School or J.H.School may be contacted for tuition.
